Steve Holmes joins National Realty Network with close to 50 years of varied real estate experience. Starting with a major oil company in site selection work, his career expanded into hotel feasibility studies with Real Estate Research. In the early 1970's he went to work for H. F. Philipsborn Company where he was a senior vice president involved in mortgage placement, equity financing, development and institutional joint ventures. In 1980, he went to work for Fuller Commercial Brokerage Company, later to become Royal LePage Commercial Real Estate, where he was a top producer in Institutional Investment Sales and a senior vice president of the Company. In the early 1990's Royal LePage was merged with Cushman Wakefield, where he and his partner were part of Institutional Investment Group. In 1993, Steve formed Holmes Barile Realty Advisors selling approximately one billion dollars of institutional real estate in a seven year span. In 2000, Mr. Holmes joined Grubb & Ellis' Institutional Investment Group as a senior vice president where he was consistently one of the company's top performers. In 2006, he joined Trammell Crow Company as a senior vice president with the firm's Capital Market Group. In all, his career total sales include 6.0 million square feet of office, 20.0 million square feet of retail, 5.0 million square feet of industrial and over 4,000 hotel room transactions totaling over three billion dollars.

Mr. Holmes earned a BA in business administration from Western Michigan University and attended Kent College of Law. He also holds a National Association of Mortgage Bankers Degree from Northwestern University and completed all academic requirements for both MAI and SRI designation.

Steve and his wife Nancy have been residents in Barrington for the past 35 years, raising two children and now have six grand children.
